On August 17, 2014, Ervaeua Ronchelle Herring, a 21-year-old pregnant woman and mother, was tragically killed in a gang-related shooting in Southeast Portland, Oregon. The incident occurred in the early morning hours around 5 a.m. at an apartment located at the intersection of 151st and SE Powell Boulevard, where Herring was staying.
