In the quiet town of Grants Pass, Oregon, a tragedy unfolded on May 20, 2015, that claimed the life of 30-year-old Jessica M. Thompson, a White/Caucasian female. The day was shattered by an emergency call to 911, where a woman reported a disturbance with her husband. As the dispatcher tried to get the location, the sounds of a struggle and then gunshots echoed through the line, a chilling testament to the violence erupting within the home.
A neighbor’s separate 911 call, prompted by
