On December 25, 2016, 24-year-old Katelynn May Armand, known as Kate, was tragically killed by her estranged husband, 30-year-old James Tylka, in King City, Oregon. The couple, who had recently separated and were undergoing divorce proceedings, shared a young daughter. Kate was found lying dead in the street after reports of gunshots near Tylka's residence, where he had been living with his mother in a senior citizen neighborhood.
