Melody Alexis Rooks, a 33-year-old woman from Portland, Oregon, was fatally shot on August 18, 2024, in the Hazelwood Neighborhood of Portland. The incident occurred on the evening of August 18, and her death was confirmed by the Portland Police Bureau the following day.
