In the summer of 2017, a dispute between neighbors in Eugene, Oregon, ended in tragedy, claiming the life of Michael Dennis James Long, a 41-year-old White / Caucasian male. On the morning of Sunday, July 30, 2017, an altercation escalated, resulting in Long being fatally shot. The incident prompted an investigation by the Lane County Sheriff's Office, which quickly led to the identification of a suspect.
