On July 30, 2017, Michael Dennis James Long, a 41-year-old resident of Eugene, Oregon, lost his life in a tragic incident involving a dispute with a neighbor. Long, born on February 17, 1976, to Michael Long Sr. and Deborah Ann Hawkins (Phillips), was identified by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office following the incident.
