On July 5, 2020, a fatal shooting occurred at a residence on Smithoak Street in the North Eugene area of Eugene, Oregon, specifically within the unincorporated Santa Clara area policed by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office. The incident was reported at 7:03 p.m., prompting an immediate response from the authorities.
