In the summer of 2020, a dispute between housemates in Eugene, Oregon, turned fatal, ending the life of 62-year-old Thomas Robert Michaud. On the evening of July 5th, at approximately 7:03 p.m., the Lane County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a residence on Smithoak Street in the northern part of the city following a report of a gunshot wound.
