In the early hours of June 11, 2020, tragedy struck in Portland, Oregon, claiming the life of DeAnnzello McDonald, a 28-year-old Black male. At approximately 12:35 a.m., Portland Police Bureau officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Northeast 162nd Avenue following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered McDonald's body. The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that he died from a gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide.
