On a late summer evening in Portland, Oregon, the life of 16-year-old Jaelin James Scott, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 27, 2020, a shooting erupted at Gateway Discovery Park in the Hazelwood neighborhood, leaving four people with gunshot wounds.
