On the evening of September 20, 2021, a dispute that began on the streets of Gresham, Oregon, tragically escalated, ending the life of 38-year-old Dashawn Marquis Hudson, a Black male from Portland. The fatal encounter unfolded in the parking lot of a Walmart Neighborhood Market located at 3900 West Powell Boulevard. What started as a road rage incident culminated in a violent confrontation that left Hudson's family grieving an immense loss.
