On the very first day of 2022, the life of Andre Lashun Foster, a 43-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The new year was less than two hours old when violence erupted in the Argay Terrace neighborhood of Northeast Portland, Oregon. In the early morning hours of January 1st, at approximately 1:47 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Northeast 131st Place following reports of a shooting.
