In the early morning hours of New Year's Eve in 2003, the quiet streets of North Portland were shattered by the sound of multiple gunshots. At approximately 6:40 a.m. on December 31st, individuals delivering newspapers in the vicinity of North Missouri Avenue and North Mason Street heard the disturbing sounds.
