In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 17, 2022, a series of violent events shattered the peace in southeast Portland, Oregon, culminating in the tragic death of 34-year-old Dante Euel Hall. The final and fatal incident unfolded around 2:52 a.m. in the 2600 block of Southeast Belmont Street. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Hall, a Black / African American male, already deceased from gunshot wounds.
Alongside Hall, authorities found 24-year-old Victoria
Brown, who was critically injured. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to her injuries. The Medical Examiner's autopsies confirmed that both Hall and Brown died from gunshots, and their deaths were officially ruled as homicides. The shooting that claimed their lives was reportedly the third violent incident to occur in the city that morning.
Despite the ongoing investigation by the Portland Police Bureau, there has been no publicly released information regarding any suspects or arrests in connection with the deaths of Dante Euel Hall and Victoria Brown.
