In the early evening of July 8, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Joevon Leroy Patterson, a 21-year-old male, was killed in the shooting, which occurred near the intersection of Southeast 112th Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard.
