Okey Meadows

On a summer evening in 2003, the community of Cedar Grove, West Virginia, was shattered by a senseless act of violence that claimed the life of Okey Meadows, a 26-year-old White / Caucasian male. On August 14th, Meadows was at a Go-Mart on U.S. Route 60, simply buying milk at a security window, when he was fatally shot in the neck. His death was not an isolated incident but part of a terrifying series of sniper-style shootings that had gripped the Kanawha Valley.
