On October 19, 2016, a tragic and violent incident unfolded in Parkersburg, West Virginia, resulting in the death of Brian Duanne Shann, a 38-year-old resident of the city. The incident began earlier in the day when Shann was shot at his residence located at 1015 E. 12th St., at the corner of 12th and Oak streets. Shann was taken to Camden Clark Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:34 a.m..
