On December 9, 2020, Kara D. Bennett, a 39-year-old woman, lost her life to gun violence in Jane Lew, West Virginia. The incident was part of a double-homicide that was later classified as a murder-suicide.

The investigation, conducted by the West Virginia State Police, revealed that Kara Bennett was shot by her boyfriend, Wesley Alan Wayne, 41, also of Good Hope Pike. According to the police, Wayne shot Bennett before turning the gun on himself. This tragic event occurred at a residence ...
