On July 18, 2024, at approximately 10:40 PM, West Virginia State Police responded to a reported shooting on Boone Street in Maben, West Virginia. Upon arrival, troopers confirmed that 72-year-old Brenda Tilley of Maben had died due to an apparent gunshot wound.
