In the small town of Maben, West Virginia, a late-night call on Thursday, July 18, 2024, shattered the community's peace. Responding to a report of a shooting on Boone Street at approximately 10:40 p.m., state troopers discovered a grim scene. Inside a residence, they found 72-year-old Brenda Tilley, a White female, who had succumbed to what appeared to be a fatal gunshot wound.
