Wayne Allen Woodson, a 32-year-old White/Caucasian man from the Paint Creek area of West Virginia, died on January 3, 2021, after he was found in a wooded field near Gallagher in eastern Kanawha County. What began as the discovery of an unresponsive person quickly became a suspicious-death investigation, drawing West Virginia State Police troopers to the isolated area where his body had been located.
