On May 11, 2018, 46-year-old Alvaro Omar Guerreo-Lavander disappeared from Tucson, Arizona, under what authorities have described as suspicious circumstances. At the time he went missing, he was described as a Hispanic male with black hair and green eyes, standing at five feet five inches tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds. When last seen, he was wearing a gray short-sleeve polo shirt, Dockers brand blue jeans, and blue and gray tennis shoes.
He also wore a black baseball cap and a Fossil brand watch with a black leather band.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are unsettling. On the same day he was last seen, his vehicle, a gray 2010 Hyundai Sonata with Arizona license plate number BXN3173, was seen leaving the country. The car was observed crossing through the Nogales, Arizona Port of Entry into Mexico. However, according to reports, Mr. Guerreo-Lavander was not driving the vehicle, nor was he visible inside it at the time it crossed the border. This has led investigators to believe that he may have met with foul play. Since that day, he has not been seen or heard from again.
The investigation into Alvaro Guerreo-Lavander's disappearance is being handled by the Pima County Sheriff's Department. The case is classified as an endangered missing person case due to the suspicious nature of the events leading to his disappearance. Despite the passage of time, few details have been made publicly available, and his whereabouts remain unknown. The core of the case centers on the troubling fact that his car was located, but he was not with it, and the unknown identity of the individual or individuals who were in possession of his vehicle as it crossed into another country. This leaves his family with unanswered questions and a profound sense of uncertainty.Last Seen: May 11, 2018
