A loving mother and wife, Beth was a homemaker who had previously managed a local McDonald's for over a decade. She was known for her love of the outdoors, often enjoying kayaking, camping, and fishing with her family.
On that Monday night, events took a grim turn at a residence on Shoemaker Road. The Lewis County 911 Communication Center received a report at 10:14 p.m. about an unresponsive female. As emergency services were dispatched, further information came in about possible shots being fired at the home. Upon their arrival, law enforcement and EMS personnel found Beth deceased inside the residence.
During the initial on-scene investigation, it was reported that an unknown individual had been at the residence when the shots were fired and had subsequently fled the scene.
An extensive investigation into Beth's death was launched by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Mountain Lakes Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, the West Virginia State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
