On October 17, 2008, 24-year-old Jessica Dawn Luedtke Deemer of Waukee, Iowa, was tragically murdered near Marshalltown, Iowa. She and her friend, 24-year-old Bryce Lee Mercer of West Des Moines, were found shot to death along Highway 14 near 130th Street.
