On September 27, 2016, a tragic incident occurred in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, resulting in the death of 13-year-old Ireshia Aniyah Parks. The incident took place in the 800 block of 15th Street SE, where Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting just before 8 a.m..
