In the early morning hours of September 20, 2020, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, 18-year-old Jlynn Beason, a female, was fatally wounded in a shooting. The incident occurred near the 400 block of South 14th Street around 2 a.m. Beason was inside a vehicle when the shooting took place. She was transported to UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center by a private vehicle and later transferred to a hospital in Des Moines, where she succumbed to her injuries on September 22, 2020.
