In the summer of 2022, the life of a bright and energetic three-year-old Black male named Damari Sanders was tragically cut short in Coralville, Iowa. On the afternoon of Sunday, July 3, 2022, emergency services were dispatched to an apartment in the 900 block of Boston Way following a report of a child with gunshot injuries.
