In the late hours of a Wednesday night in Coralville, Iowa, a disturbance shattered the quiet of the Western Hills Estates manufactured housing community. Just before midnight on June 11, 2025, police were dispatched to a residence on Highway 6 following reports of a dispute that had escalated to gunfire. Inside, they found 27-year-old Mason Chance Edwards, a White male, who had been shot twice in the chest. Despite efforts to render aid, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
