On February 10, 2020, 34-year-old Natalie Thurber was tragically killed in her Salt Lake City apartment during a violent altercation with her boyfriend, Michael Tyson Nance. The incident began with a heated argument, during which Nance blocked Thurber's attempt to leave, threatening her with a knife. In distress, Thurber managed to call 911, leaving the line open, and also texted a friend to seek help.
