On a tragic summer morning in 2022, the life of a 34-year-old Caucasian woman, Amanda "Mandy" Mayne, was cut short in Taylorsville, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah. On August 17th, while waiting for a bus to go to work, she was ambushed and fatally shot by her ex-husband, Taylor Ray Martin. The brutal attack brought a violent end to a long history of domestic turmoil and fear that had plagued Mayne for years.
