In the early hours of a Sunday morning, a house party in a quiet Magna, Utah neighborhood turned into a scene of violence and loss. On August 15, 2021, 18-year-old Ivan Valenzuela, a male of Hispanic descent, was shot and killed at a gathering on Evening Light Cove. The party, attended by a large group of young people, was shattered by gunfire just after 1 a.m., leaving chaos in its wake.
