Christopher James Taylor, a 32-year-old White/Caucasian male, was shot just after 1 a.m. on December 10, 2021, outside the Maverik convenience store at 310 South 900 East in Salt Lake City. Officers were dispatched on reports of gunfire and arrived to find bystanders attempting lifesaving measures; despite their efforts and those of first responders, Taylor died at the scene.
