On a summer evening in New Haven, Connecticut, the life of Jason Craggett, a 22-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On June 7, 2004, while sitting on the front porch of his grandmother's home on Vernon Street, a gunman approached. Craggett attempted to flee inside the house, but the assailant pursued him and shot him once in the chest.
