Josephine Grace Joey Gay, a seven-year-old Caucasian female, had a contagious smile and a spirit that captivated those around her. Born in Maryland, she was the youngest of three daughters and was known for her deep love of the color purple. She was a student at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
