In the quiet town of Durham, Connecticut, the spring of 2015 was shattered by a tragedy that unfolded within the walls of a home on Main Street. On March 17th, Terry Oakes Bourret, a 71-year-old White/Caucasian female, was found deceased in her residence. A former nurse who had found her true passion in art, she was a beloved figure in her community, known for her vibrant paintings and her dedication to teaching others.
