In the early morning hours of April 4, 2015, the life of 32-year-old Hispanic male, Victor Nina, was tragically cut short at the Huntington Place Apartments on Cook Avenue in Meriden, Connecticut. The initial alert to authorities was a fire alarm, but soon after, 911 calls reported the sound of gunshots, creating a chaotic scene as residents scrambled for safety. When police and firefighters arrived shortly after 5 a.m., they found dozens of tenants in a state of confusion and fear.
