On the evening of January 2, 2022, a 46-year-old male named Darnell Thomas was fatally shot in what police have described as a targeted attack. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. outside the Mohegan Commons apartment complex located at 90 North St. in Norwich, Connecticut.
