In the early morning hours of October 8, 2022, violence erupted outside a downtown Bridgeport bar, leaving 29-year-old Dominique Marquee Jones dead. The incident, which unfolded near the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Broad Street, also resulted in injuries to two other men. Responding to reports of shots fired around 1:40 a.m., police discovered Jones unresponsive in a parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
