On the evening of November 9, 2022, Lamonte Brown, a 46-year-old Black / African American male, was walking in his hometown of Hartford, Connecticut, when his life was cut short in a fatal encounter. At approximately 8:30 p.m., near the intersection of Main Street and Capen Street, Brown was approached by a man and a woman. An argument broke out between them, escalating quickly and violently.
