On November 23, 2022, at approximately 1 a.m., Hartford police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting inside a second-floor apartment on Barker Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 19-year-old Jonas Deaza-Escobar and his 20-year-old brother, Cesar, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention and transport to a local hospital, both brothers were pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
