Obie Harmon, 51, male, was killed on September 4, 1971, during a Basore family gathering in the Ozark Mountains of northwestern Arkansas, a case long associated with Fayetteville. Accounts describe a late-summer reunion at the Basore family home near Mount Olive that dissolved into terror when shots rang out.
