In the late afternoon sun of a September day in Lonoke, Arkansas, the life of Walter Trendale Jones-Harris, a 28-year-old Black man, was cut short by a fatal gunshot wound. The events that culminated in his death on September 18, 2011, began the night before at a nightclub in Scott, Arkansas.
