On January 25, 2014, 28-year-old Robert Andrew Snider Sr. was fatally shot in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Emergency responders found him lying on the front lawn of a residence at 3509 Price Circle, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Sparks Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The incident occurred during a gathering at the home, where Snider was present with his fiancée, Jonathan Willbourn, and Willbourn's wife.
According to Fort Smith Police Sergeant Don Cobb, all individuals involved were acquainted with each other, and there were no strangers present at the scene.
Following the shooting, authorities arrested 32-year-old Jonathan Willbourn in connection with Snider's death. He was charged with first-degree murder and held in the Sebastian County jail. At the time of the arrest, authorities had not located the weapon used in the shooting.
Robert Snider Sr. was born on September 3, 1985, in Vancouver, Washington. He was a father to several children, including Diago Torres. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Breanna Elizabeth Charlton, of Van Buren, Arkansas. He was of the Christian faith.
