On a September afternoon in 2015, the life of 31-year-old Roy Dell Smith, a male United States Army veteran, was cut short in a burst of gunfire. The shooting unfolded around 1:30 p.m. on September 24th in the 100 block of Kenwood Street in Hot Springs, Arkansas. When the violence ceased, Smith was gravely wounded and another man, Terry Elijah Crump, was injured.
