Tyrell Sims, an 11-year-old African American boy, was tragically killed on November 7, 2020, in a drive-by shooting in East Point, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Tyrell was walking home with a friend after helping his best friend's grandmother put up a Christmas tree when the incident occurred. Witnesses reported that a black sedan, possibly a Chrysler or Lexus, drove by and fired into a crowd standing on the street.
