In the quiet town of Crossett, Arkansas, a sense of shock and sorrow spread through the community in the summer of 2016. On the evening of Sunday, July 10th, 60-year-old Karen Sivek, a beloved member of the community, was tragically killed in her home. Her life was cut short by an act of gun violence during what authorities would later describe as a home invasion.
