On September 20, 2016, Crystal Marie Avellino, a 36-year-old resident of Wynne, Arkansas, was found deceased in an apparent murder-suicide at a residence on U.S. Highway 64. Authorities discovered her body alongside that of 55-year-old Bobby Wright, who is believed to have been the shooter. The Cross County Sheriff's Office reported that both individuals died from gunshot wounds, and a. 40 caliber pistol was recovered at the scene.
