In the late morning of September 24, 2018, the city of Pine Bluff was shaken by a violent shooting that claimed the life of 29-year-old Courtney Lane, a male resident of the city. The incident, which also left another adult male severely injured, unfolded around 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a business located at the intersection of 26th and Olive streets.
