On December 26, 2019, at approximately 11 p.m., Blytheville police responded to a shooting in the 300 block of South Lake Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Damon Matthews, an 18-year-old resident of Memphis, had sustained gunshot wounds. Another individual, whose identity was not disclosed, was also injured and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
