Chad Ryan Thomas, 27, male and Black/African American, was found with a gunshot wound late on April 22, 2020, after officers were called around 10:31 p.m. to the Parkwood Mobile Home Park on South First Street in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Investigators quickly treated the case as a homicide.
The following day, April 23, Jacksonville police announced the arrests of four suspects: Dywai Weems-Wells, 21; Braylon Lunnie, 20; Raymond Hildreth, 19; and Kellan Hardaway, 17, who was charged as an adult. Each was booked into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility with no bond and charged with capital murder, aggravated robbery, possession of firearms by certain persons, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Reports and memorial records confirm Thomas’s name, age, and the date and place of death, while early local coverage established the location and sequence of events that night.
