On a summer day in DeWitt, Arkansas, the life of Jonathon Jones, a local male resident, was tragically cut short. On Saturday, July 4, 2020, authorities received a distressing call about a shooting incident that had occurred at the local Piggly Wiggly. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Jones had sustained a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the shooting quickly led to the identification of several
individuals believed to be involved. A few days later, on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, the DeWitt Chief of Police announced that charges had been filed against Sean Woodruff, who is facing accusations of Murder I and Battery I in connection with Jones's death. The inquiry also implicated three other men in events surrounding the shooting. Tre'Davious Minter was charged with two felony counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Certain Individual and one felony count of Theft of Property. Christian Chambers was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Certain Individual, while Deven London faced charges of Kidnapping, Battery I, Battery II, and Aggravated Assault.
