On September 14, 2020, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Fort Smith police responded to a call on the 4300 block of North 32nd Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 39-year-old Daniel Alexander Ahumada deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

Following interviews with witnesses, authorities identified 37-year-old Christopher Lee Stowell as a suspect in the case. Stowell was located and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force at a residence in Fort Smith. He was taken into custody with ...
