In the quiet area of Lone Rock, Arkansas, a call to 9-1-1 on the afternoon of Monday, October 5, 2020, set in motion a murder investigation. The caller, 17-year-old Baxter Morrell Stowers of Salesville, reported that he had just shot and killed another man. When personnel from the Baxter County Sheriff's Office arrived at the residence at 813 CR 111, they found the body of 41-year-old Jeremy Wayne Alman, also of Salesville.
